Summer is fast approaching. No where, more than in Florida, is protecting our kids from the summer sun a priority. Due to years of education, parents and kids both know how important it is to use sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15, applied to the skin 30 minutes before sun exposure and every 2 hours thereafter.
Pediatric dermatologists now recommend sunscreen sticks as a way of increasing adherence to sun protection. Sunscreen sticks are particularly useful for application to the cheeks, nose and ears and other areas that are most vulnerable to sunburn. They can also be applied more often than an all over sunscreen. For more information and recommendations for sunscreen sticks check out Consultant for Pediatricians
